Schule Am Himmel is a full-day-school for pupils aged 6 to 14 years. People with a stated challenge are welcome to stay until the age of 18 years. Within the system a primary school, a middle school, a school for children and young adults with learning difficulties and a school for persons with disabilities have been established. Learning groups varying from 6 up to 24 learners of different age, depending on what the individuals need as an environment of learning and personal growth form the basis of learning from and with each other. Individual timetables have been set up, according to the strengths of the person. The system is quite complex, as also the different groups are working together. In short, Schule Am Himmel is intended as a small picture representing society - of living and working together.
