About

Roman has held various positions in his more than thirty-year professional career. He started as Head of Systems and Security at Intercomputer/encomIX, after which he became head of presales and CTO for Southern Europe at eEye Digital Security (now Beyond Trust). He then took on the role of IT Risk Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and, finally, spent ten years as Head of Operations and Cybersecurity Architecture at Ferrovial. He is currently a collaborator with the National Security Department (DSN) and serves as an independent advisor on various of top spanish companies boards.

He collaborates with various foundations, with special attention to the Goodjob Foundation where he is Academic director for technological programs. Additionally, he is a professor in various postgraduate and master's courses.

Has launched several of his own business ventures such as Chase The Sun, BE Real Talent, propaganda·is, and the most well-known, the technology and cybersecurity event RootedCON, of which he is a co-founder and co-organizer.

He received the Guardia Civil Merit Medal of Honor (white badge) in 2018 and in 2022 the Professional Career Award presented by the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, on behalf of the National Cryptologic Center (CCN).

Goodjob Foundation was established to promote, develop, and manage a wide range of social, cultural, economic, and educational activities and initiatives.

The ultimate and primary goal is to encourage the enhancement of personal and professional skills, as well as the employment integration, of people with disabilities and, in general, those at risk of social exclusion.
