ADISA´s mission is to be a leading, benchmark and model organization that promotes inclusive development and advocacy, empowering society in general for the inclusion of people with disabilities in society and the fulfillment of the full exercise of their rights. Implementing strategy of Community Based Inclusive Development CBID we envision an outcome where persons with disabilities and the community are brought together on an equal basis. We believe this not only helps people in need, but also provides tangible benefits to the communities where they live.

About me

I´m a Guatemalan 47 years old living in Panajachel, Guatemala.  In last 25 five years I was working and increasing my knowledge and experiences with organizations focus on support the development of Latin America communities, part of my experience was with European Community, Spanish, Swedish, Italy, Belgium AID´s organizations. During that time, I was working as program officer for education, health, economic empowerment, social and governance empowerment, risk management and disaster risk reduction. Besides, I had the opportunity to work in partnership with local organizations from El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala developing and strengthening their systems and projects. During last years I have focused on PMR supporting local organizations to improve their interventions in order to comply with international donors and their goals.
