SARAKI Foundation is a private, independent and non-profit organization, dedicated to generating innovative solutions to the main problems of the population with disabilities.
In its 27 years of work, it has established alliances of shared value with national and international companies, institutions and organizations to achieve a more inclusive world. The cause of SARAKI Foundation is to promote the dignity, freedom and development of people, their inclusion and full participation in all areas.
SARAKI Foundation was born as a development alternative for persons with disabilities, by generating a networking strategy with all sectors of society, supported by the impact on public policies, social mobilization and the direct empowerment of persons with disabilities.
Some important achievements include:

Successfully lobbied for the creation of the National Disability Commission and the National Secretary for the Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Paraguay.

Designed, lobbied for and supported implementation of important laws for accessibility, inclusive education, public transportation and the first National Action Plan for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Developed an effective socioeconomic inclusion methodology through which many people with disabilities are provided with opportunities to enter the world of work and self-employment.

Developed a successful strategy for empowering the private sector and created a Self-Diagnosis Tool for Inclusive Management and Accessibility now being scaled internationally.

Developed the IN Dashboard which supports data accessibility on implementation of human rights conventions including the UN-CRPD and the Interamerican Convention on Disability.
Current programs being implemented by Saraki are:

Saraki Trains: a training space on socioeconomic inclusion for persons with disabilities.

Saraki Includes: connects persons with disabilities seeking employment with companies open to labor inclusion, providing support and intermediation.

Saraki Ventures: supports entrepreneurship and income generating ventures among persons with disabilities.

SUMMA: motivates public and private organizations to adopt inclusion and accessibility criteria in their culture and brand.
