ObjectiveEd
About
ObjectiveEd provides digital curricula for students with a disability, including blind/low vision, reading disability, autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
Our BuddyBooks system, funded through a National Science Foundation, helps struggling readers, such as students with dyslexia, improve their reading skills. With BuddyBooks, a child and the computer alternate reading one sentence at a time from books that their teacher or parent picks. That keeps the child engaged in the story as they co-read with the computer. Since they are reading every other line, it’s a lower cognitive load. That means the child can be reading at their interest level, instead of their reading-skill level, which the child might think are kiddie books. At the same time, the AI in BuddyBooks helps the child where they struggle, and shows the teacher or parent, in a web dashboard, where they need extra help.
