About

Sözer VURGUN works as a Geography Teacher at Bergama Science and Art Center and is the founder of Tactile Educational Materials Workshop. He carries out projects in different fields for children, young people and individuals with disabilities, which he puts at the center of his life. In this context, he has won dozens of national and international awards. He produced tactile educational materials created with an inclusive approach, showing that a common design in education for everyone is possible. The biggest difference of this material design he developed from the materials prepared so far is that it allows sighted and blind children to use the same material and to study together. This is a first in the world. These materials have taken their place in educational environments and solved the material problem, which is the most basic problem in the education of the visually impaired. Awarded by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. It received the Best Accessible Design Award in the field of "Accessible Designs and Products", which is considered the most important award of Turkey.

Vurgun, who works for a world where differences can live together, without prejudice, unhindered, equal and accessible, has been selected as the Best Goodness Project for his project for visually impaired children in our country and Africa. He continues his projects to build bridges with young people who are inventors, inventors, inventions, who can make inventions, who will contribute to the development of humanity in research and development laboratories, and teachers who will contribute to the training of these young people.
