My organisation

We are a social enterprise with a purpose to empower every child to learn equally through inclusive Play. We support children to build the foundational physical, cognitive, language and social-emotional skills through our research-based Reach & Match Learning Kit, Inclusive Learning Program and Training Course. We provide consultation for educators and therapists, and co-design with them to integrate our program into their curriculum and services. We partner with governments, not-for-profit organisations and schools to tackle significant challenges in inclusive education for emergencies.

About me

Mandy Lau is an award-winning designer, researcher, and social innovator driven by curiosity, empathy, and a lifelong passion for inclusion. She transforms education through innovative design, bridging research and real-world practice to create solutions that empower children of all abilities to learn, play, and belong.

As the Founder and Designer of Reach & Match® Inclusive Education Program, Mandy has turned her postgraduate research into a globally recognised initiative that makes inclusion visible, practical, and joyful. Reach & Match® is a multi-award-winning, evidence-based learning system used in early childhood education, special education, and humanitarian contexts worldwide. It has reached over 30,000 children through collaborations with UNICEF, Save the Children, and World Vision, and is endorsed by the Australian Government DFAT.

Mandy’s empathetic, design-led approach enables her to translate the complexities of inclusion into meaningful learning experiences that foster belonging and participation for all children.

Recognised as a Westpac Social Change Fellow, Singularity University Impact Fellow, and recipient of international honours including the James Dyson Award, Red Dot Award, Zero Project Award, and Good Design Award, Mandy continues to champion design as a force for social innovation and educational transformation.

A curious learner at heart, Mandy thrives on cross-disciplinary collaboration, working with educators, researchers, policymakers, and NGOs to bridge research and practice, strengthen early childhood development (ECD), and advance Education in Emergencies (EiE) through inclusive, play-based innovation.
