Antony Helenraj currently works as a Senior Manager at EnAble India. Armed with a Masters in Social Work with a specialization in Community Development, he has 13+ years of work experience in the development sector. Having traveled across rural and urban India, he has had the opportunity to work with 45 types of stakeholder groups and built the capacity of over 5000 individuals. These include stakeholders such as the Government, NGOs, Banks, Self Help Groups, Parents, Front line workers, and so on.
As the co-creator of the 'Garv Se - Ecosystem Building Model for PwDs' & 'Jagruti Mela', Antony has played a pivotal role in building the livelihood ecosystem for persons with disability in rural India. Garv Se Model was also recognized during Workability Asia Conference 2022. Along with training 3500+ persons with disability for wage and self-employment, he has guided them towards a sustainable livelihood across 141 trades. The journey began from developing himself into a disability professional and today, he focuses on developing more disability professionals for rural India to replicate the Garv Se Model and reach the unreached across India.
